By default, the Event Followup Message‍ included in your Message Template Library automatically sends to customers 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours after their scheduled event ends.

This article outlines how you can change or disable these message settings.

Customize Event Followup Auto-Send Settings

  1. Go to More > Activity Catalog

  1. Choose the activity for which you want to adjust the event followup message settings
  2. Select After from the sidebar menu

  1. Make the desired adjustments to the message settings. Expand the items below for further guidance.

Disable auto-send for one or multiple event followup messages

If you want to prevent one or multiple event followup messages from sending automatically, unselect the corresponding checkbox(es) before choosing the Save button

Adjust the times at which the event followup messages auto-send

  • Ensure the checkbox is selected for the followup you wish to update. (You can automatically send up to 3 event followup messages for each activity in your catalog)

  • Update the corresponding text field to reflect the time at which each message should auto-send

Choose Who Receives Follow-Up Emails (Lead Guest or All Guests)

If you want follow-up emails to be sent to all guests on the booking, check the box labeled “All Guests” before selecting the Save button

Whenever an email or phone number is added to a guest profile, either during booking or when signing a waiver, they’ll be added to the follow-up queue, as long as the message hasn’t already been sent.

You can enable or disable this setting for individual messages, depending on whether you want to target the lead guest or the full guest list.

Edit or rewrite a selected message template

If you want to edit or rewrite an event followup message, rather than create a new one from scratch, see Edit an Existing Message Template.

Select a different message template to auto-send

  • Ensure the checkbox is selected for the followup you wish to update
  • Select the desired message template from the drop-down menu. If the message template you want to select does not yet exist, you will need to Create a New Message Template‍, then return to this screen and select your new template from the drop-down

Select a message template that's missing from the drop-down menu

If there is a specific message template you want to select but do not see in the drop-down menu, you will need to assign the message template to the Event Followup template category. For details on assigning your message template to a different category, visit Edit an Existing Message Template.
