A rebooked trip message tells a guest their booking has moved — it confirms the new date and time and recaps the trip details. It's a Booking Change-category message that fires when a booking's date or time changes.

When it sends

The rebooked message triggers on a date or time change to a booking. Whether it sends on its own depends on one toggle:

  • Automatic. Turn on Auto Confirmation on Rebooking and every reschedule sends the rebooked message. This is off by default.
  • Manual. With the toggle off (or any time you want control), you can send the rebooked message by hand while you reschedule the trip — a checkbox in the reschedule step lets you send it for that change only.

Turn on automatic rebooking messages

  1. Go to Setup Sell online Email & SMS Automations.
  2. Find Auto Confirmation on Rebooking and toggle it on.
  3. Use the template picker to choose which rebooked message goes out, then Save.

Only templates in the Booking Change category appear in this picker. If yours is missing, change its category — see Create, edit & manage message templates.

Sending it manually instead

Leaving the toggle off keeps rebooking quiet by default — handy if you often shift times internally without wanting to email guests each time. When a change is worth telling the guest about, send the rebooked message during the reschedule. This gives you a per-change choice rather than an all-or-nothing rule.

Frequently asked questions

What triggers a rebooked message?

A change to a booking's date or time. It sends automatically only if Auto Confirmation on Rebooking is on; otherwise you send it by hand while rescheduling.

Is the rebooked message on by default?

No. Auto Confirmation on Rebooking is off by default, so reschedules don't email guests until you enable it.

Can I send a rebooked message just once, without turning on the automation?

Yes. While rescheduling a trip you can choose to send the rebooked message for that change only, leaving the account-wide automation off.
