Waivers on the Manifest

See which guests have signed on the Manifest, mark waivers signed, send reminders, show a QR code or send to a tablet, and view a signed waiver.

At check-in you need to know one thing fast: has everyone signed? The Manifest shows each reservation's waiver status at a glance and lets you fix it on the spot, by marking a paper waiver signed, sending a reminder, or handing the guest a tablet.

Before you begin. Marking a waiver signed from the Manifest requires the View Trips permission. It comes with the built-in Owner group, or any custom permission group that includes it. If you don't see the option, you don't have that permission yet, so ask an account admin to grant it to you.

Read the waiver column

The Waiver Status column turns on by default when any of your activities require waivers. For each active reservation it shows:

  • A red badge such as 2 Unsigned when guests still need to sign.
  • A green badge such as 3 Signed with the number who have signed.
  • A badge like 3 + 1 Signed when a person who isn't one of the booked guests, an additional signer, has also signed.

Select either badge to open the Trip Actions drawer.

Act on a whole reservation

The drawer's Group Actions appear when the activity uses waivers:

  • Mark All as Signed: marks every unsigned guest signed in one step. It's a manual mark with no signature captured, and each guest shows Manually marked as signed. Use it for paper waivers.
  • Send to iPad: sends the waiver to a registered tablet. If none are registered, the drawer says to open the waiver portal on the iPad to register it.
  • Reminder: sends the guest their portal link by email and text.
  • QR code: shows a code guests scan to open the waiver portal on their own phone.

Act on one guest

The drawer also lists every guest with a Signed or Unsigned pill and the date they signed.

  • View a signed waiver: select the eye icon to read the signed PDF in the drawer, with an Open in new tab link.
  • Mark Signed: appears for guests who haven't signed, and for each waiver when an activity has more than one.
  • Send Reminder: emails or texts the guest. If the guest has no email or phone on file, you can type one in.
  • iPad, QR, and Portal: the same options as above, for just that guest.

Additional signers appear in their own list, so you can see everyone who signed for the party.

Limits to know

  • Marking signed is for one reservation or one guest at a time. There's no way to mark a whole timeslot or the whole day signed at once.
  • Cancelled reservations can't be marked signed.
  • The badges count guest waivers tied to tickets, so they won't show an X-of-N total.

For how guests sign and where signed copies live, see Collecting guest waivers and Viewing signed waivers.

Examples

  • Clear the paper waivers: select the red badge on a reservation, then Mark All as Signed once the guests have signed on paper.
  • Get the last two guests signed before departure: open the drawer and use QR code so they sign on their own phones.
  • Check what a guest agreed to: select the eye icon next to their name to read the signed waiver.
  • Nudge a late signer: select Send Reminder next to the guest, adding their email if it's missing.

Frequently asked questions

What does the red Unsigned badge mean?

At least one guest on that reservation still needs to sign. Select it to see who.

Does Mark All as Signed capture a signature?

No. It records that the waiver was signed on paper, and the guests are labelled Manually marked as signed.

Can I mark waivers signed for a whole timeslot?

Not in one step. You mark them one reservation or guest at a time.

Why don't I see the Waiver Status column?

It turns on automatically only when an activity requires waivers. You can also turn it on in Customize columns.

Can I read the signed waiver from the Manifest?

Yes. Open the drawer and select the eye icon next to the guest.

What if a guest has no email for the reminder?

You can type an email or phone number into the reminder window.
