When a trip changes, you can tell everyone on it at once: a weather delay, a new meeting spot, a time change. Pick a message template, check who's included, and send, all from the Manifest.

Send a message
- Open Manifest and find the timeslot or activity.
- Open the menu on its header and choose Send Message to All... The window is titled Send a Message.
- Pick a message template. A preview shows the email as guests will see it.
- Add a personalized note if you like. It's added to the message and the preview updates.
- Check the recipient count, then select Send.
A banner at the top of the window tells you exactly who the message covers: a timeslot, or an activity on that day. There's no single send for the whole day across all activities, and no way to message one trip from here.
Choose who receives it
Select the funnel icon to open Filter recipients who:.
- Status: tick Not Checked In, Checked In, No Show, and any custom booking statuses your account uses. Everything starts ticked.
- Tips: tick Have left a tip or Have not yet left a tip. Both start unticked.
- CC all guests: by default one message goes to each reservation's lead customer. Turn this on to send it to every guest who has an email.
A reservation is included if at least one of its guests matches a status you ticked. If you untick every status, the count drops to zero and Send turns off. A banner shows how many people will receive the message, and a Details list names guests with no email.
How it's sent
- Email always, text when set up. The email goes out for sure. A text goes too if the template has SMS turned on and the customer has a phone number.
- Any live template can be picked, including automated ones, so choose a template made for this kind of notice.
- It's recorded on each trip, with your name as the sender.
- Only active reservations are included. Cancelled trips don't get the message.
A single send is limited to 5,000 recipients. If you go over, TripWorks asks you to narrow the selection.
Examples
- Tell everyone on the 2:00 boat about a weather delay: open that timeslot's menu, send the delay template, and leave all statuses ticked.
- Message only guests who haven't checked in yet: untick Checked In and No Show, so only Not Checked In is selected.
- Thank the people who were on the trip: tick only Checked In, so no-shows aren't thanked.
- Ask guests who didn't tip for feedback: tick Have not yet left a tip and send a review template.
Frequently asked questions
Can I message just one guest or trip from the Manifest?
No. Messaging here goes to a whole timeslot or activity. To message a single trip, use that trip's own message options.
Does it send an email, a text, or both?
Email always. A text is also sent when the chosen template has SMS on and the guest has a phone number.
Why is the Send button grayed out?
Usually every status is unticked, which means nobody is selected. Tick at least one status.
Why does the count show fewer people than guests?
By default one message goes to each reservation's lead customer. Turn on CC all guests to reach every guest with an email.
Will cancelled guests get the message?
No. Only active reservations are included.
Is there a limit?
Yes, 5,000 recipients in one send.
Which permission do I need?
