The TripWorks mobile app is for iPhone and iPad, so on an Android phone you use TripWorks in your web browser. TripWorks switches to a phone-sized layout with its own menu, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens with one tap, like an app.

Add TripWorks to your home screen

  1. Open Chrome on your Android phone and go to your TripWorks login page, your-account.tripworks.com/login, using your own subdomain.
  2. Sign in with your usual email and password.
  3. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner of Chrome.
  4. Tap Add to Home screen, then tap Add.
  5. Tap the new TripWorks icon on your home screen to open TripWorks.

The menu names can vary a little by phone and Chrome version. Other browsers, such as Samsung Internet, have a similar option in their menu.

What you can do in the browser

The browser gives you the full TripWorks platform, the same one you use on a computer, laid out for a smaller screen. You can look at the calendar and manifest, check guests in, take and manage bookings, and look up trips and customers. Busy screens like setup and reports are easier on a tablet or computer.

Pairing a Bluetooth scanner, a Stripe M2 card reader, or a Star printer to your phone is part of the iPhone and iPad app, so it isn't available in a phone browser. See The TripWorks mobile app.

Examples

  • Check the day's manifest from the dock. Tap the TripWorks icon on your home screen and open the manifest for today's first departure.
  • Look up a guest who's running late. Search their name to find their trip and the phone number they booked with.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a TripWorks app for Android?

The TripWorks mobile app is for iPhone and iPad only. On an Android phone, open TripWorks in Chrome, sign in, and use the Chrome menu to choose Add to Home screen. You get a TripWorks icon that opens your account with one tap.

Do I need to sign in every time I open it from my home screen?

Usually not. The home screen icon opens TripWorks in your browser, so you stay signed in the same way you do in Chrome. If you sign out or clear your browser data, sign in again.

Can I use an Android tablet as a self-service kiosk?

Yes, that's a separate setup. The TripWorks Kiosk app runs on Android tablets so walk-up guests can book and pay on their own. See Set up a self-service kiosk.
