Setup is where you configure your business: what you sell, how you get paid, how you sell online, and who's on your team. The Setup home, titled Setup & Configuration, groups every settings page by the goal it serves, so you browse by what you're trying to do rather than by a page name.

How is Setup organized?
The Setup home lists seven groups on one page, in this order. A side menu lets you jump to any group, and every settings page has an All settings link that takes you back to the home.
- Build what you sell: your activities, options, and the rules around them. Pages: Activity Settings, Seasons & Schedules, Booking Restrictions, Products, Seat Maps, Booking Statuses, Waivers.
- Get paid: taxes, tipping, gift cards, and how money is collected. Pages: Taxes & Surcharges, Point of Sale & Tips, Gift Cards, Vouchers, Payment Settings, Reserve Fund.
- Sell online: your booking site, customer portal, and AI assistants. Pages: Customer Portal, E-Commerce Settings, Booking Widgets, Marketing Sources, Promo Codes, Voucher Codes, Chatbots, Callbots, Knowledge Base, Email & SMS Automations, Message Templates, plus links to Messages, Resellers & Affiliates, and Invoices.
- Run your day: where you operate and the resources you schedule. Pages: Locations, Pickup Locations, Resources, Guides, Bulk Availability Editor.
- Your team: who can sign in and what each role can do. Pages: Team Members, Permission Groups.
- Company & policies: business details, legal, and early-access features. Pages: Company Info & Branding, Terms of Service, Custom Fields, Beta Features.
- Tools & hardware: devices, data import and export, and operational tools. Pages: Card Readers, Waiver Devices, Cash Drawers, Kiosks, Ticket Printing, Import & Export Viewer, Data Importer, Audit Log.
Integrations and developer tools have their own entries in the side menu, below the seven groups.
Some page names follow your account's own wording. If your account calls guides "Captains" or kiosks "Stations," the Setup pages use those names.
Why don't I see a page that's listed here?
Setup shows only the pages you can use. A page is hidden when your role doesn't include the permission it needs, or when the feature behind it isn't turned on for your account (for example Kiosks). If you need a page you can't see, ask an account admin to check your permission group.
How do I find a setting quickly?
- Type in Filter settings… at the top of the Setup home. It narrows the page to matching settings as you type, and shows matching integrations too.
- Use search at the top of TripWorks, which also finds Setup pages.
- Ask Beacon, the in-app assistant, where a setting lives.
Activities have their own editor with a side menu of its own. See Using the Activity editor.
Examples
- Find where to change your tax rate: type "tax" in Filter settings… and open Taxes & Surcharges under Get paid.
- Do a check of who can refund bookings: open Permission Groups under Your team.
- Find where to pair a new tablet at your front desk: open Kiosks under Tools & hardware.
- Turn on an early-access feature: open Beta Features under Company & policies.
Frequently asked questions
Did any settings move or go away in the new Setup?
No settings went away. Setup groups the same pages by goal. If you can't find one, type its name in Filter settings on the Setup home.
Where are activity settings in Setup?
Open Activity Settings under Build what you sell, then open an activity. Its settings live in the Activity editor's own side menu, grouped into Details, Pricing, Availability, and Other. See Using the Activity editor.
Why is a Setup page missing for me but not for my manager?
Setup only shows pages your role has permission to use, so two people on the same account can see different pages. An account admin can add the permission to your group under Permission Groups in the Your team section.
Where do I connect another app, like my email marketing tool?
Integrations have their own entry in the Setup side menu, below the seven goal groups. Typing the app's name in Filter settings on the Setup home also brings up matching integrations.
How do I get back to the Setup home from a settings page?
Select All settings at the top of the side menu on any Setup page. It returns you to Setup & Configuration with every group listed.
