Collect a payment
- Open the booking and choose Collect Payment. The screen shows the confirmation code and the amount due.
- Choose how the guest is paying:
- The card reader. Pair a Stripe M2 reader first. See Pair a scanner, card reader, or printer with the TripWorks app.
- Enter Card Manually. Type the cardholder name and card details.
- Pay by Cash. Enter the amount received.
- Skip for Now. Choose Reserve Trip to hold the booking, or Leave as Draft.
After a payment the booking shows what's paid and the balance due. The payment also appears on the trip's Payments tab on the web. See Record payments on a trip.
Refund a payment
- Open the booking and choose Actions, then Refunds. You see the booking's payments.
- Choose the refund method and the amount.
- Check the Refund Summary, then confirm.
For how refunds work in general, see Refund a trip.
Print a receipt
Pair a Star printer first (Settings → Pair Printer). Then open the booking, tap Actions, and choose Print Receipt. Once a printer is paired, Settings also lets you turn on Print Boarding Pass on Check-In and set a Receipt Footer.
Card readers the app supports
The app pairs the Stripe M2, a handheld reader that connects over Bluetooth. The WisePOS E countertop reader and Tap to Pay on iPhone aren't available in the app.
