Question
How can I see which user opened or closed availabilities in TripWorks? How do I view who made changes to timeslots?
Answer
You can view availability changes in three ways: from a specific activity's audit log, from a specific user's audit log, or from the global audit log that shows all changes across your entire account.
Method 1: View Changes for a Specific Activity
To see availability changes for one activity:
- Choose the activity from your catalog
- Click "Audit Log" in the lower left corner
- You'll see dates, times, and which user modified availabilities for that activity

Method 2: View All Changes by a Specific User
To see all edits made by a particular team member:
- Choose the user from your team catalog
- Click "Audit Log"
- You'll see all changes that user has made, including availability modifications

Method 3: View All Changes Across Your Account
To see all changes made by any user across any object in the system:
- Click the gear icon in the top menu
- Choose "Audit Log" from the menu
- You'll see a complete history of all changes made in your account, including availability modifications
Tip: Use the global audit log's filters to narrow down to specific activities, users, date ranges, or action types.
What You'll See in the Audit Log
All audit logs show:
- User name - Which team member made the change
- Date and time - When the availability was modified
- Action taken - What was changed (e.g., timeslot opened or closed)
- Specific changes - Details about the availability modification
- Object affected - Which activity or timeslot was changed
When to Use Each Method
- Activity-specific audit log: Use when you're investigating changes to a specific activity
-
User-specific audit log: Use when you want to:
- Review all changes made by a particular team member
- Track a user's activity for training or accountability
- See what a specific person has been working on
-
Global audit log: Use when you need to:
- Compare changes across multiple activities
- View system-wide activity during a specific time period
- Search for changes across all objects and all users
Why This is Useful
Use the audit log to:
- Investigate why a timeslot was unexpectedly closed or opened
- Track which team member made specific availability changes
- Review historical changes for accountability or training purposes
- Understand the timeline of availability modifications
- Monitor user activity across your entire account
- Audit a specific team member's actions
Tips
- Real-time updates: Changes appear in the audit log immediately after they're made
- Complete history: The audit log maintains a comprehensive history of all changes
- Multiple access points: Choose whichever method is most convenient for your workflow
- Filterable: Use the global audit log's filters to find specific changes quickly
