Every sale in TripWorks is stamped with how it was made and where it came from. Ask your AI assistant to split your revenue along either line and you can see, in one answer, whether your website, phone line, front desk, AI agents, or resellers are earning their keep.

The AI Assistants page in TripWorks shows this request as a sample. The numbers are sample data, not a real account.
Try the prompt with your own channels and dates:
How much revenue came from my AI phone agent and website chatbot in the last 30 days? Compare it to online checkout and front desk, and chart the split.
Two ways to slice your revenue
TripWorks records two separate facts about every sale, and your assistant can group by either.
- Booking method is how the sale was created: website, phone, walk-up, email, chat, AI agent, or reseller. See Booking methods for what each one means.
- Trip source is the marketing source the sale is credited to, such as Google or ChatGPT. It answers "where did this guest come from?" where booking method answers "how did they book?"
You can also split by reseller to compare the OTAs and partners that sell for you, including the commission each one earned.
The method names your assistant shows come from your account, so check the labels in its answer. If you're unsure whether a label such as "AI agent" covers your phone agent, your chatbot, or both, ask the assistant which sales it counted.
Example requests
- Rank my booking methods by revenue for the last 30 days. Shows website, phone, walk-up, email, chat, AI agent, and reseller sales side by side.
- How much did the AI agent book last month compared to the month before? Compares AI-agent sales across two periods and tells you the change.
- Which marketing sources brought in the most revenue this quarter? Ranks Google, ChatGPT, email, and the rest of your sources.
- Rank my resellers by bookings and revenue for this month and compare to last month. Shows who is driving volume and how much commission you paid.
- What share of our sales are phone versus website? Gives a percentage split and notes the trend.
- Break down last month's callbot calls by how each call ended. Counts calls by outcome so you can see how many were resolved.
- What is the average call length and satisfaction score for the AI phone agent? Averages call duration and CSAT where a score was captured.
- Which weekday do phone bookings come in most? Groups phone sales by day of the week.
Tips for better answers
- Name the period. "Last 30 days" or "this quarter" keeps answers comparable from one day to the next.
- Ask for a comparison. "Compared to last month" makes your assistant run both periods and show the change.
- Decide which revenue you mean. Total sales is net of fees, commissions, discounts, tips, and taxes. Ask for gross if you want the full amount guests paid.
- Follow up on surprises. If a channel looks low, ask "Which activities drive that channel?"
Limits to know
- Channels depend on how sales were recorded. A sale appears under a method or source only if TripWorks stamped it that way. Sales with no source show as unattributed.
- Phone call figures are separate from sales. Calls and bookings are different records. Your assistant can count calls and outcomes, and it can count sales by method, but it doesn't link a specific call to a specific booking.
- It's read-only. These questions never change your data.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between booking method and trip source?
Booking method is how the sale was made, such as website, phone, or reseller. Trip source is the marketing source credited for it, such as Google. Ask for either, or both, and your assistant will group the revenue to match.
Can I see what my AI phone agent and chatbot actually booked?
Yes. Ask for revenue and reservations by booking method for a period and look at the chat and AI agent rows. For how those bookings happen, see How AI bookings work.
Can it show reseller commission?
Yes. Ask for each reseller's bookings, revenue, and commission for a period. It needs permission to view your resellers, so a team member without it may see less.
Why don't my channel totals add up to my overall revenue?
Usually a few sales have no method or source recorded, or your assistant used a different date field. Ask: "Do these rows add up to total revenue for the same dates? What's missing?"
Can it tell me how callers are satisfied?
Where a satisfaction score was captured on a call, your assistant can average it and break it down by day or by the phone system the call came from. See How TripWorks turns every call into insight.
Does it work for attractions and not just tours?
Yes. Methods and sources are recorded on every sale, whether guests booked a museum timed entry, an aquarium visit, or a kayak tour.
