Create booking availabilities

Establish the dates and times when customers can book a particular activity.

Availabilities (also called timeslots) are the specific dates and times when an activity is open for booking. Use this guide to create availabilities for an activity — whether you're setting up a new schedule or adding dates for an upcoming season.

To update the status of availabilities across multiple activities at once, use the Bulk Availability Editor instead.

Create booking availabilities

  1. Select More > Activity Catalog from the toolbar.
  1. Select the activity you want to edit.
  2. Select Dates & Times from the sidebar menu, then click Create.
  1. Name your availabilities. This name is for internal reference only — guests don't see it. A descriptive name (e.g., "Summer 2025 – Kayak Tour") makes it easy to reuse or reference next season.

  2. Select the activity or activities these availabilities apply to.

  3. Choose a repeat frequency. Options include daily, weekly, specific days of the week, and more. The form will show or hide fields based on the option you select.

For a full breakdown of each frequency option with examples, see Day Frequency Settings for Booking Availabilities.

  4. Set the timeslot visibility. This controls who can see and book the timeslot:

    • Open — visible and bookable on your e-commerce site and by logged-in team members
    • Open Unrestricted — same as Open, but ignores booking restrictions such as "close timeslots 24 hours before event time"
    • Private — only visible and bookable by logged-in team members; does not appear on your public booking site
  1. When your settings look correct, click Create New Availabilities. The button label shows the number of timeslots that will be created based on your current settings.

It may take a few moments for new availabilities to appear. They're ready when you see them listed under Dates & Times in the sidebar.

Set capacity limits

After creating availabilities, you can set capacity limits to control how many guests can book each timeslot. Capacity can be based on ticket types (e.g., adult vs. child), transportation seats, or available resources. See Setting Activity Capacity Limits.
