The monthly abandoned cart summary is an email sent to you and your team — not to guests — that reports how much revenue your abandoned cart emails recovered over the past month. It's a report on the money those follow-ups brought back, so you can see the payoff without opening a single dashboard.

It's a notification for operators, and it's separate from the customer-facing abandoned cart messages that go out to shoppers who leave items in their cart. Those do the recovering; this email tells you how well they worked.

When it arrives

The summary lands on the 1st of each month, around noon in your account's time zone, and recaps the month that just closed. When you first turn it on, the next 1st-of-the-month email includes you — there's no waiting a full cycle.

What the summary shows

Each monthly email covers three things:

  • Recovered revenue — total sales that came back through your abandoned cart emails last month.
  • Month-over-month change — how that compares with the month before, shown as a percentage up or down.
  • Six-month trend — a simple bar chart so you can see whether recovered revenue is climbing or slowing.

The numbers match your Sales Conversions reporting, so the totals reconcile with what you'd pull yourself. Amounts show in your account's currency, formatted for your locale.

Who receives it

The summary is a personal email preference — each team member controls their own:

  • Account owners and managers are opted in by default, so the people watching revenue see it automatically.
  • Anyone with reporting access can turn it on or off for themselves at any time.
  • Team members without reporting permissions don't see the option at all.

Turn the summary on or off

  1. Open your user profile settings.
  2. Find the summary email preferences under Account Health, Tips, & Summary Reports.
  3. Check Monthly Abandoned Cart Summary to start receiving it, or uncheck it to stop.
  4. Select Save.

Your first summary then arrives on the next 1st of the month — no need to toggle it again.

What newer accounts see

What lands in your inbox depends on how much history the account has:

  • Established account — recovered revenue, the month-over-month change, and the six-month trend chart.
  • Newer account — recovered revenue and the change, without the chart; the trend appears once there are enough months to plot.
  • No recovered revenue that month — a short note that nothing came back last month, so you're never left wondering whether the email failed to load.

FAQ

Do my guests receive this email?

No. The monthly abandoned cart summary goes only to your team. It's an internal report on recovered revenue. The customer-facing abandoned cart messages are what reach shoppers.

How do I stop receiving the summary?

Open your user profile settings, find Monthly Abandoned Cart Summary under Account Health, Tips, & Summary Reports, uncheck it, and select Save. It's a personal preference, so turning it off only affects you.

Why don't the recovered numbers match what I expected?

The recovered revenue in the summary matches your Sales Conversions reporting for the same period. If a figure looks off, compare it there. A single low month isn't cause for concern on its own — the six-month trend is the better signal for whether recovery is working.

Why is there no trend chart in my email?

The six-month trend chart appears once your account has enough months of data to plot. Newer accounts see recovered revenue and the month-over-month change until then.
