Ticket types are a means of assigning distinct levels or classifications to the tickets associated with an activity (e.g. adult vs. child travelers or VIP vs. general admission seating). Creating distinct ticket types is especially beneficial when you want to:
- Assign unique prices when Pricing Your Activity (e.g. charge more for VIP vs. general admission seating)
- Automatically Assign Resources to Customers (e.g. for each Adult traveler, assign an adult-sized life jacket; for each Child traveler, assign a child-sized life jacket)
Add Ticket Types to an Activity
- Navigate to the desired activity by selecting More > Activity Catalog from the toolbar
- Choose an activity from the list
- Select Ticket Types from the sidebar menu
- Choose the Add button for each ticket type you want to create
- For each ticket type, provide a concise name and description. In the booking widget, ticket type names appear as purchase options while descriptions display quick, clarifying details about the ticket type. These details are intended to be short and concise so as not to overwhelm or distract online shoppers from completing their purchase
