Effectively managing a multi-day calendar is essential for maintaining organization and ensuring a smooth experience for both your customers and team members. Our robust calendar management system makes handling multi-day bookings effortless.

This article will guide you through managing your multi-day calendar on TripWorks, including how to view multi-day bookings, viewing resource utilization, and filtering the calendar view to fit your needs.

Accessing Your Calendar

Select ‘Calendar’ from the top navigation within your dashboard

Week View vs. Day View

By default, you will be redirected to your Calendar Week View. You can toggle between the different view options in the upper right:

Both the Week View (which will display the current week) and Day View (which displays the current day), are the best options when it comes to displaying your bookings that are using resources for multiple days.

Displaying Your Calendar by Resources

The best way to manage your multi-day resource usages is by customizing your calendar view to Display Resources.

  1.  Select Customize View in the upper left
  2.  Choose to Display Rows by Resource

  1. Select Save to name your view
  2. Choose whether or not to use the view as your default calendar view
  3. Select Save

Your customized view will appear in the upper left corner, allowing you to easily switch between your saved views

Viewing Resource Usages on Your Calendar

Once you have your calendar filtered to display resources, you will see them appear on the left. In the below example, our resources are: Small Boat, Medium Boat, and Large Boat.

Booked trips will be displayed next to their corresponding resource and will visually extend across the screen to indicate the duration of resource usage.

For example:

  • Juan Mares is using the Small Boat until July 22
  • Sara Jones is using the Medium Boat from July 22 until July 25
  • Kevin Cost is using the Large Boat from July 19 until July 28
