Using Availability Labels for Custom Timeslot Names

Set a custom display name on any timeslot ("On Call", "Charter Only", "Private Event") that replaces the time in the calendar, manifest, booking widget, and trip orders.

Availability Labels let you set a custom display name on any timeslot — like "On Call", "All Day", "Charter Only", or "Private Event" — that replaces the time everywhere the timeslot appears: the calendar, manifest, booking widget, and trip orders.

This is especially useful for activities that don't run on a fixed start time, such as charters, on-demand experiences, or all-day rentals.

When to use an Availability Label

  • Charters and private events where the actual start time is decided after booking ("Charter Only", "Private Booking").
  • All-day or flexible experiences that aren't tied to a specific start time ("All Day", "Anytime").
  • On-call or by-request experiences where you want to show availability but not commit to a specific hour ("On Call", "By Request").

Add a label to a timeslot

  1. Select More > Activity Catalog from the toolbar.
  2. Select the activity you want to edit.
  3. Select Dates & Times from the sidebar.
  4. Find the availability you want to label and open it for editing.
  5. In the Label field, enter the text you want to display in place of the time (e.g., "Charter Only").
  6. Save your changes.

Where the label appears

Once a label is set, it replaces the time display in every operator and guest-facing view:

  • Calendar view — the label shows in the timeslot card.
  • Manifest — the label appears where the start time normally would.
  • Booking widget — guests booking on your e-commerce site see the label instead of a clock time.
  • Trip orders and confirmation emails — the label is used wherever the trip's time appears.

Note

The underlying start time is still stored on the booking — it's used for sorting, reporting, and any logic that relies on time. The label is purely a display name.

Common questions

Can I use a label on a recurring availability? Yes. The label applies to every timeslot in the series. If you only want to label one occurrence, edit that single timeslot.

Does the label affect capacity, restrictions, or pricing? No. Labels only change how the time is displayed — capacity, ticket types, and pricing all behave normally.

Can I remove a label later? Yes. Clear the Label field and save — the timeslot will display the start time again.
