TripWorks allows you to filter the calendar by resource group, making it easier for operators to understand equipment usage at a glance. This is especially useful for businesses managing vehicles, vessels, bikes, or any kind of equipment-based resources.
Whether you’re tracking how many kayaks are left or managing fleet availability across multiple activities, the resource group view is a fast and powerful way to get high-level visibility.
What is the Resource Group Filter?
When using the Week View of the calendar, you can now display rows by Resource Group. This changes the left-hand side of your calendar to show groups like “Bikes,” “Jeeps,” or “Jet Skis” instead of individual activities or resources.
Each row will show:
- Left number = how many resources in that group are currently in use
- Right number = the total quantity of resources in that group
Example: If you have 10 bikes in the “Bike” group and 5 are booked, the row will display 5 / 10.
Why Use the Resource Group Filter?
- Quickly visualize remaining inventory for equipment-heavy operations
- Reduce the need to click into individual bookings to see what’s in use
- Perfect for day-of logistics and capacity checks
- Create custom saved views by location, group type, or operational focus
How to Filter by Resource Group
- Go to the Calendar and switch to Week View

- Choose Customize View in the upper left
- Under “Display Rows By," select Resource Group
- Use the filters on the left to choose which resource groups you want to show or hide

Save your view to retain the configuration for future use.
