Create Vouchers for Your Experiences

Give customers the option to purchase trips upfront then select their desired experience date and time later on.

Vouchers allow a customer to pay for an experience upfront without having to specify the date on which they (or the voucher recipient) would like to go on the trip. Vouchers differ from gift cards in that:

  • Gift cards have a specific monetary value assigned. That value can be applied (as full or partial payments) toward experiences, products, and anything else available for purchase through your TripWorks account.
  • Vouchers represent full payment toward a specific experience. When a customer calls in to redeem a voucher, they are simply asking to select the date and time on which they plan to go on a trip that has already been paid for in full.

Create Vouchers for Your Experiences


1. Enable Voucher Program

Before you can assign vouchers to individual experiences in your catalog, you must first enable the voucher program.

  1. From the toolbar, go to More > Discover More, then choose the Voucher Settings link.
  2. Select the Enable Voucher Program checkbox.

  3. Choose Save.


2. Add Desired Voucher Style

In order to enable vouchers for an individual experience, you must have at least one voucher style to choose from.

  1. Navigate to the Voucher Styles tab.

  2. Select the New Voucher Style button.
  3. Give your new voucher style a fitting name (visible to your team only).

  4. Save your changes.
  5. In the resulting dialog box, you can either drag and drop a downloaded image file or select the Browse link to choose a file from your device. Make sure the image in question is clear and meets the requirements specified.

  6. Choose Upload Style.


3. Apply Desired Voucher to an Experience

With your new voucher created and styled, you can apply it to 1 or multiple experiences in your catalog. When you apply a voucher to an experience, you are making it possible for customers to pay for that experience up front, then contact your team at a later date when they are ready to reserve their prepaid trip.

  1. From the toolbar, go to More > Experience Catalog, then select the experience to which your new voucher should apply.
  2. Choose Vouchers from the sidebar menu.

  3. Ensure the Enable Voucher Program checkbox is selected, then choose the desired voucher template from the drop-down menu.

  4. Save your changes.
