Experience Capacity Settings: Capped Per Ticket Type, Per Timeslot

If you choose the Capped Per Ticket Type, Per Timeslot option when setting your Experience Capacity Limits‍, you are instructing the platform to prevent further bookings for the experience once the specified number of tickets has been purchased for each ticket type.

When to Use the Capped Per Ticket Type, Per Timeslot Capacity Setting

The Capped Per Ticket Type, Per Timeslot setting is beneficial in a wide variety of scenarios. Here are just a few examples to help you determine if this is the right setting for your experience:

  • Our event tends to get too hectic when there are more than 10 children in attendance, so we decide to set a high capacity limit (50) for Adult and Teen ticket types while limiting Kiddo tickets to a maximum of 10. (This is shown in the above screenshot.)
  • Our boat can seat 10 adults and 10 children, so we set caps of 10 Adult and 10 Child travelers.
  • We have a bus that is equipped with 10 passenger seats and 2 wheelchair stations, so we set our cutoffs based on corresponding ticket types.

Beware of Booking Restrictions

If during checkout your team and/or customers are unable to select the maximum number of tickets defined by your capacity settings, there may be a contradictory booking restriction in place. To learn more, visit Why can't I add more tickets to a booking during checkout?‍
